The temperature’s dropping and the sun is setting earlier. For some, bare trees and gray skies are unwelcomed and often associated with the layers to stay warm that accompany everyday life. But for winter sports lovers, the arrival of snow and ice represents a thrilling transformation of the world around them into a playground ripe for exploration. The colder months are officially here, and the Taiga team is preparing to gear up and set out on an adventure-soaked winter season.

Where we’re going:

The Taiga team is heading out to destinations not only committed to preserving Quebec’s pristine wilderness, but also empowering sustainable exploration with Taiga charging stations.

The first location on our winter itinerary? Le Baluchon, one of the Mauricie regions premiere eco-resorts offering the perfect balance between untouched natural beauty and luxury. With 1000 acres of land, 35 km of forest trails, and a Taiga charging station, we’re counting down the days until this winter escape. We’re also visiting 2800 Du Parc, a winter sports haven located on the edge of Mauricie National Park equipped with electric vehicle (EV) charging capabilities that extend from cars to snowmobiles. Another outlet into Quebec’s unmatched nature? Pourvoirie du Lac Blanc. From dog-sledding and snowmobiling to ice fishing, and forest survival, this outdoor wonderland is dedicated to preserving and sharing its natural beauty and solitude.

Where we’re riding:

Winter is peaceful and unbiased, covering everything on its path with tranquility and beauty. It’s also unforgiving, lending itself only to those equipped for the journey. Taiga’s powertrain technology paves the way for transcendent exploration and navigation of even the most treacherous terrain. We’ll be taking in the views this winter from the Nomad™ snowmobile.

After delivering our first Nomads at the beginning of this year, this winter will be our first full season of all-electric adventures. Regardless of what’s in store, the Nomad’s hyper precise-throttle control, regenerative braking, and direct-drive system will rise to the occasion.

Taiga demo rides are coming soon, so keep your eyes peeled for North American locations.

What we’re celebrating:

What better way to kick off the winter season than being included in Time Magazine’s Best Inventions of 2022 list? Both our Nomad snowmobile and Orca personal watercraft won features in the prestigious publication. In addition, we are proud to announce that Orca Carbon was also awarded Popular Science’s 2022 Best of What’s New Award!

With these honors in our pocket and the first snow right around the bend, we have a good feeling about snowmobile season. We can’t wait to get outside and explore with you this winter!
