Issue:
On certain snowmobiles, the degradation of a seal in the master cylinder over time could cause reduced braking.
Safety Risk:
Reduced braking can cause extended stopping distances and increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions:
Corrective actions for this recall are still under development. Taiga is working with the brake system supplier to find a solution that will render the brake system compliant with snowmobile safety standards.
By this notice, Taiga is informing current owners of the presence of this brake system non-compliance. Owners will be further notified as soon as a corrective action is available so that the brake system may be repaired and/or replaced under warranty.
Always operate your vehicle at safe speeds appropriate for the conditions and maintain adequate braking distances to ensure you can stop safely. Take advantage of regenerative braking, which not only assists in slowing the vehicle but also helps extend overall range by converting braking energy back into usable power. Proper use of these features contributes to a safer and more efficient driving experience.
